Weaving as Open Source presented a comprehensive retrospective of the Spanish artist Teresa Lanceta co-produced by Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona and Institut Valencià d’Art Modern. Textiles are Lanceta’s predominant medium and they took centre stage, accompanied by drawings, photography and video works from the 1970s to the present. In Valencià, the main exhibition occupied five interlinked rooms, starting with the unusual, but effective, display of woven textiles drawn from across the artist’s career installed on walls that curved outwards to the floor...
