In my Experience: the personal in academic research

The personal is often considered unprofessional information to include in academic research. But the personal - from my perspective - is not only inescapable but often incredibly powerful. This talk will reflect on experiences of learning I have unwittingly held separate from my academic thinking and invite discussion about how, and when, the personal may not only be appropriate but also necessary in an academic context.
